"We arrived late and the key had been left for us but unfortunately we did not see it and pressed the bell. Despite waking the owners at 1am, we were forgiven for our mistake and the check in process went smoothly. The hotel is high up on the outskirts of Agia Pelagia with amazing views. There is a lovely pool and bar area and the atmosphere is very laid back - we found it easy to relax. We enjoy walking so the walk into town and to the beach, and the walk back was not a problem for us, but if...

Great Hotel outside of Heraklion

"This was a terrific hotel about 25 kilometers out of Heraklion. It was fine for us because we had a car and the driving easy. The hotel was walking distance down the hill Agia Pelagia which is a cute little beach town. We ate at the hotel restaurant one night and were pleasantly surprised at the overall quality of the dishes we had- way better than a hotel restaurant usually is. The staff was great and the breakfast buffet was very good. If you are planning a trip to Knossos and the Archeological Museum this is a good option. It was nice to get back to the quiet of an out of town hotel. The only downside is they are trying to hard to be kitschy which is totally unnecessary for such a quality property. We loved it all in all"
