"We were family of 5 ranging from 23 yrs up plus friends of theirs and the areas of villa suited us so well. Outside space great round pool and other coveted seated areas. Driving a must really as the local cafes, supermarkets and beaches all down the bumpy gravel track to villa about 5 mins away only but definitely a must. The pin drop for villa also essential especially if arriving in dark! One of our best family holidays in an unpretentious area that’s not full of British tourists!"

"The spacious villa with fabulous views is good for a large group, with air conditioning throughout. However, in one bedroom, the air conditioning unit was leaking and when it was fixed, the unit outside made a loud noise, so we had to change bedroom to avoid waking others! The bathrooms are all in need of renovation - for this price, it's not OK to find broken shower fixtures and toilet seats that come detached. "We were met by the owner on arrival & briefly showed around, we didn’t arrive until 1am so I’m not sure if he was tired but he was not very welcoming. The only welcome pack was 2 bottles of water, there was wine there but he advised this was €12 a bottle. He also advised that the gas to the cooker was turned off, so on a stove there were two rings for 10 people, which would never be enough. It was also not clear on the information that 4 of the beds were so separate with no access to main...

"The host Margarita is charming and friendly as is the village of Kalo Chorio. The villa itself is high up with stunning views and plently of room to sit around in the sun or shade. Be prepared for a little 'off road' experience when navigating the final road up. It's worth it."

"All our expectations were exceeded on arrival at Villa Melissa. The on-site hostess, Elina, is delightful. She cares about the quality of her home (Villa Melissa) and your comfort during your stay. "A very modern, perfectly equipped property, amazing swimming pool, wonderful little beach with cristal clear water down the stairs of the property, garden and pool area in the same perfect condition as the apartment. Perfect location also for trips and hikes in the area. Our only regret was that we had to leave after 5 nights. Highly recommendable!"

"A lovely place, situated conveniently close to beaches, various restaurants, local shops and a 'mini'market'. Free parking is available uncovered or covered. None of the properties around the 20m x 10m pool look at each other, increasing your privacy. The only downside was the management dealing with problems etc. We advised them that the TV was not working. They said that that they would arrange for an engineer to come out, but nobody came."

"Just back from a wonderful 10 days at Elounda Eleon Villas. Maria and Ilias are great hosts and Zetta a fantastic housekeeper who kept our villa spotlessly clean. Loved the location of our villa which had spectacular views to the sea. The pool was a welcome relief to the hot sun. The owners are lovely and make sure you have everything you need. "Our holiday in the Villa met all our high expectations. The Villa has superb accommodation and outside areas and facilities. The Management Company looked after a couple of issues which arose, including loss of hot water, very quickly. Makry Gialos is a fantastic and authentic resort, away from the tourist hot spots.
