I stayed for one night at this 'hotel'. That was more than enough.
The hotel supposedly had no record of my Hotels.com booking, which had been paid for.
The internet never worked. Staff promised it would be fixed and provided numerous excuses. The tv had one English-speaking channel: Al Jazeera. The manager/owner 'fixed' it...for a matter of minutes. The in-room refrigerator was not plugged in...because there was no electrical outlet. The manager/owner indicated he would "look at it." The shampoo and soap dispensers in the shower had nothing in them.
The room had curtains that did little to darken the room. Although the hotel is supposedly new, there were stains on the carpet and dirt on the walls. The toilet, whose seat was broken, was IN the shower area (as were exposed electrical wires). To use it I needed to sit with my legs spread due to the nearness of the shower glass wall.
When I indicated I intended to leave, staff debated with me, asking why. They continued to assure me the internet, tv, etc, would work. This process lasted about ten minutes. I was required to pay as without internet, I was unable to prove I had paid (Rookie mistake!). I have provided Hotels.com with a copy of the receipt, which somehow took the hotel 30+ minutes to produce, and they are currently looking into the issue.
Here I note that prior to my posting of this review, all reviews gave the hotel a top rating. I question whether the reviews have been posted by actual customers.
