"The inn keeper was friendly, the pizza place on the ground floor smelled amazing, and the bed was comfy. I cracked the window as the room was very warm. Maybe it's above the pizza oven? "Stowe is firmly implanted in my brain as an amazing place to visit, and the Timberholm plays a big part of this. Just a few minutes drive outside of the town centre, it's easily accessible and yet far away enough that it feels secluded and peaceful. "Bud was very hospitable and overall great! Externally, very aesthetic and inviting. The interior can definitely use some TLC, but it really also depends on your expectations. It’s a country house so don’t expect anything lavish or over the top. Another reviewer wrote that it’s like staying at grandma’s. Couldn’t agree more. If you like trendy and fancy, this is not the place. If you like rustic, quiet and low key- this will do the job. We enjoyed our stay. "

"Excellent breakfast! Sitting room available for guests was comfy with coffee/tea and delicious homemade cake. All very clean. Our room was small with little area for luggage. Hot/Cold water was reversed, but without my glasses on in the bathroom I couldn't read the script cap on the faucet. We ran the water for quite a while before we figured it out. Randy very knowledgeable about the area and a wealth of information on Stowe and environs. Would definitely stay here again."

"There are a lot of good things about our stay. We loved being able to walk through Stowe at all hours. We loved the convenience of having a market right next door. And I was able to get a haircut right downstairs. The rec path was close and delightful to walk on. But we had no hot water--none--for the entire stay. Before arriving we were told the hot water heater needed a part that wouldn't be available for 3 days. We were even offered another rental to use instead, but it wasn't right downtown...

"The entire staff, and in particular the cleaning and maintenance teams were thoroughly professional. The care and attention to detail of the cleaning and maintenance staff of all facilities including pool, gym, sidewalks and all common spaces was exceptional. Clearly a group with a clear sense of purpose and well trained in performance of their duties."

Perfect place to stay for skiers

"We will absolutely stay here again. So close to Stowe Mountain. Comfy bed, super clean room. The woman at the front desk was so friendly and welcoming. We skipped breakfast to get skiing early, but we went for the afternoon snacks - cheese and crackers, coffee and tea, cookies, a delicious-looking soup in a crock pot, chatting with other skiers about their day on the slopes. Highly recommend this lovely place."

"The 3 bedroom condo was great. The hot tub, sauna and exercise facility near the condo is just a stones throw away and was great too. They hotel staff was very accommodating to our needs and awesome. Just note that the 3 bedroom condo is not part of the hotel and is just 1 mile down the road from the main hotel. The only negative we encountered was the wifi at the condo. It seemed to be congested at certain times of the day otherwise everything else was perfect. Thank You"
