"The staff gave us, including our wee dog, a warm welcome and they were helpful throughout our stay. We had a front facing room, overlooking the loch. It was stunning! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. "

"No mirror in room for my wife to view blow drying her hair. We had excellent view of sea from our room. Evening meal service was friendly and attentive. Bar service was slow but the barman was very helpful and informative. Overall not unhappy with our one night stay. Reception was very friendly and helpful."

"I'll cut to the chase with this one. If you're expecting all the frills, you won't get them. HOWEVER... Its an absolute bargain and certainly ideal for a short break. The hotel itself may be in need of some work (and it looks like some of that work has started), but ultimately, its clean, comfortable, ideally located given its very close proximity to the railway station etc, and even the noise issues that people had raised in other reviews wasnt an issue. You might get a bit of background noise but its not offputting and what do you expect? Its in the town centre next to a railway station and a ferry port. I still managed a good nights sleep. Check in was also very straightforward and easy too. Definitely recommended for anyone who needs a place to get a good nights kip for the next days adventures. 👍"

"Older building (1876) but still in good shape for the most part though some repairs to exterior are in order. The breakfast is consistantly good. Modern bathroom and TV options. Absolutely unbeatable location. Alexandra is literally a moment away from shopping, the train (including the Jacobite) dining and the main road. So glad we chose Alexandra, will gladly return!"

"There is a bar on the property that was loud on the last night of my stay. There is only a small parking lot in the back . That allows for about eleven vehicles And it is gravel so hard to wheel your luggage. Also there is no elevator and narrow stairs, made it hard to get my luggage up to the room."

"Accommodated our late arrival due to flight delays. Breakfast’s were great, checked before cleanup to make sure we didn’t need anything more. The one dinner provided more food than needed. Provided additional linens needed when the hiking gods struck. Very pleasant and aware staff. Greatly enjoyed our stay. "

"Don’t judge a book by its cover. Looks a little like an office block from outside. The interior though was modern and very well appointed. The staff could not be more helpful ans the breakfast was excellent. "
