Newly renovated cottage with a fantastic vista of a wooded gully and small brook.Full amenities.Very private,wood burning stove,queen size bed,rear deck,picnic table, fire pit and fast WIFI.High end queen size memory foam sofa bed in the living room. dining/den area facing open woods area with a large picture window.Cast iron bathtub.The closest neighbor is the fenced off small cabin down the road.Very quiet and even in winter there's nothing but wilderness to admire.Remote without feeling lost in the woods with the basic stores/establishments within 7 minutes drive

Long weekend getaway
We loved our time here. It was quiet and cozy, just the little get away we needed form our busy lives. Alex responded quickly to my inquiries. The kitchen is well stocked and everything was clean. We enjoyed some hiking around the area and a few great local eateries.

Fantastic cabin!
I loved my stay in this little cabin! I was here for 2 weeks to do some hiking, staying by myself for most of the time. This cabin had the 3 C's that I look for: clean, comfortable, and convenient to everything I wanted to do. It was very close to great trails and not a far drive to restaurants either. It was definitely secluded and quiet, but I always felt safe! It was also surprisingly well-stocked and such a great deal for the cost. Alex (owner) was very responsive anytime I had a question. Thank you Alex! I had a great time and would definitely recommend!

Nice Stat
Small,but perfect size for my wife and dog. Quiet setting with close location to hiking trails in the area. Kitchen was adequately stocked, bed was comfortable and there was plenty of living spacefor the two of us and dog. coofo ecomfortable

Quiet cabin getaway
Nice cabin, comfortable bed. The only issue we had is the bad lingering smell of cigarette smoke, which bothered my husband who has asthma. It wasnt from the woodstove (I was a former smoker so I know) The smell was not bad in the bedroom. Since we were out and about and only in the house to sleep, it was still a good experience.

Pet friendly comfortable converted hunting cabin in the woods
The house was very clean and well appointed. Internet was great, and the bed was so comfortable. We met Eric, our host, who gave us invaluable info about a hike/waterfall nearby. The baseboard heat worked well, and there were plenty of pillows and two warm comforters. The jugs of bottled water were appreciated. There was a big grassy area for the dogs to romp. We spent the day at Minnewaska Preserve, only about 12 minutes away.

Perfect Minnewaska Retreat
I and a buddy of mine spent a few days here while we hiked and explored Minnewaska State Park Preserve. Our trip couldn’t have gone more smoothly. Great communication from the host, Alex; exceedingly clean and cozy cabin that served our needs perfectly. Fully furnished and could have slept up to 6 people. Pictures could use an update, but they did justice to the property both inside and out. Only wish we could have stayed longer and we can’t wait to come back. Would be a great place to hunker down in the winter. Thanks Alex!

Quiet Catskills getaway
Nothing like getting away from the city to find a cozy cabin amid the stars, deer and colorful vegetation. The property was as listed, and was close to parks, hikes and reasonably priced meals. The property also had a fire pit for roasting marshmallows and watching the stars come out at night.

Weekend hiking in the Catskills with my son
Lovely little cottage in the country. Alex was a great host and everything was as it should be. To offer a tiny criticism I would say this (and it in no way adversely affected us); the pillows were flat and hard. I usually travel with my own if I’m not flying but was halfway to NY when I realized I didn’t have them. I couldn’t find hand towels for the bathroom, only bath towels but they were plentiful. I would recommend if you have folks staying in the colder months to add an additional comforter for the pull out sofa. We didn’t turn on the heat as we like our house a little on the chilly side for sleeping with lots of blankets. I ended up putting on socks and a sweatshirt during the night because I wasn’t warm enough with just a sheet and light blanket. Otherwise, it was a great little cabin, nice location and very clean. We would definitely come back again.

All you need
Nothing fancy, but everything you need for a nice stay. A pleasant host, clean house, comfy bed and a good shower. Lots of good restaurants and great places to explore in the area. We had a very pleasant stay.
