We had a great time at this rental. The entire apartment is so thoughtfully curated and convenient. We loved the comfy couch and the fireplace the most. We will definitely be back again!

Wonderful Getaway
The butterfly suite is a cozy and adorable getaway spot. The hosts make sure it has everything you need and they’re responsive to any and all outreach. We loved it and definitely recommend it to others.

Great little place!
Great little place in the country! We were in town for a WVU game and wanted a nice place to stay - great alternative to the hotels charging extremely high rates due to the game. Wish we had more time to spend and relax at the apt. Rooster on the property, so be ready for an early morning wake up call ;)

Loved the cottage!
We loved the cottage & the property. Off-the-beaten-path enough to be tranquil, but close enough to everything that we had planned to do locally. Ken & Cheryl were wonderful hosts. The cottage was cozy, comfortable & immaculately clean.

Shady Acres Weekend
Property was very clean and included all the necessary amenities for cooking. Access was easy and the owners were available if needed. It includes a king size bed that was very comfortable. I strongly recommend this property.

Well appointed suite great for a getaway.
My husband and I were looking for a convenient stay for a quick midweek getaway. The Butterfly Suite fits the bill perfectly! The suite was well-appointed and had everything we needed, plus a few extras! The bed and couch were comfortable. And the location was just 10 minutes away from Wisp, shopping, and dining. We would definitely stay again if in the area.

We arrived about 30 minutes before check in. The hosts were very personable & accommodating. Ken & Cheryl allowed up to check in early to get started on our minni getaway. The house was very clean & cozy. We had an enjoyable night in front of the fireplace. We plan on a return trip to stay a little longer next time.

Perfection!
My wife and I were in need of some time to ourselves near Deep Creek Lake. The Maust family was amazing and very welcoming. Our experience here was more amazing than we could have ever imagined it would be and plan to book a stay here again next year. You won't be disappointed! I promise!

Perfect peaceful stay minutes from Deep Creek Lake
My son and I stayed a night (though we wish we were able to stay longer!) in the Butterfly Suite when we came to the area to enjoy some mountain biking. The unit was much larger than shown in the description and is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean! The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the kitchen was fully equipped with all that we needed. The hosts Ken and Cheryl were very welcoming and provided great tips on local places to eat. The surrounding property is extremely peaceful and beautiful. My 11-year old son especially enjoyed spending hours fishing on the pond on sight. We will definitely be back to enjoy this beautiful property! Thanks for a perfect stay!

he lied and said i left it a mess when i cleaned the whole place and even took the trash out.
it was good until i started getting harassed and he started taking pictures of my license plate then continued to lie and try to charge me a extra $150.terrible experience

Pretty but problems
The Butterfly Suite has a beautiful location. It was clean but very small. Not many cooking utensils, ie; pots, pans, utensils. We also had an issue with the refrigerator not cooling properly when we first arrived. I contacted Ken and he replied with some possible solutions that didn't work. We reset the breaker as he suggested and the refrigerator shut off completely. He did offer a cooler and bag of ice. The refrigerator finally came back on in the night but we were unsure if it was cooling properly. I messaged Ken and over 4 hours later he replied. That's a long time if the refrigerator wasn't working; our food would have been spoiled by then. The refrigerator was working finally but we weren't happy with the lack of communication.

Peaceful!
Our stay at the Butterfly Suite was the exact peaceful weekend we needed! It was larger than it appears in pictures. The fireplace was lovely, especially with the snow outside. The kitchen was fully stocked and had everything we needed to make meals, including spices that we forgot! We will definitely be staying again!

Very peaceful and relaxing!
My daughter and I attended Barbara O'Neil week long conference and so enjoyed our stay in the very peaceful country, even the roo crow, loved watching the chickens, laying on the hammock and taking walks :). Like that it was close to Deep Creek Lake and all the restaurants around to enjoy. But just be aware when driving there are deer everywhere. The place was clean and had all the things a person would need to cook, but didn't need the kitchen items, we ate out most meals.

Fabulously Romantic!
Our stay was amazing! We were celebrating our 31st Anniversary and it was perfect! The apartment was decorated beautifully and very cozy. We felt very welcomed by the kind note and fresh homemade loaf of bread. The apartment was clean, quiet, and had everything we could've asked for and more! We enjoyed watching the chickens from our bedroom window and the deer in the cornfield. The flowers and landscaping were delightful! It was located off the beaten path, however, it was easy to navigate to Main St. in Accident or McHenry, which led over the bridge to Oakland. We actually ventured into Ohiopyle, PA for a day to tour Kentuck Knob and hiked in Swallow Falls State Park another. We had a lovely time and will hopefully make this an anniversary tradition!

Pastoral setting and modern convenience!
This almost 900 sq. ft. rental was perfect for me. I had some reading that I wanted to do; I felt like I needed a safe, quiet, far-from-the-madding-crowd place to read (some newly discovered letters of my mother's, to her sister [from 1954]), eat, sleep, re-charge. I stayed three nights, and really wasn't ready to leave. Ken and Cheryl really have thought of everything - a fully-stocked kitchen (I didn't cook, but I could have), a comfortable bed and fine linens, fresh flowers from their gardens, a Keurig (they supplied coffee, but I brought mine, lots!), a flock of chickens (two roosters - I learned a lot about territory!). Check -in and -out was effortless. I would be happy to recommend this location and I would be happy to stay here again.

My husband and I had a comfortable stay at the Butterfly Suite. It was our first time to Deep Creek & Kenneth gave us great recommendations. The only con which wasn't a huge deal for us because we spent our time exploring Deep Creek but I was expecting the pool, hot tub to be on-site since that is on the listing but it looks like they have access to a community pool.

Beautiful and Relaxing
We came to the area so that my husband could go fly fishing. I had a delightful day alone on the property. I walked, observed the gorgeous fall foliage, listened to the chickens and read a book. The Butterfly Suite is conducive to rest and restoration. I would definitely come again.

My host and his family were extremely helpful and my month went smoothly. I was there to work on a project. It was quiet and peaceful, perfect for my needs. They work really hard to keep the grounds looking beautiful. The apartment was spotless with comfortable furnishings.
