The staff were very nice but the hotel ranges from mediocre to terrible. When we arrived, we were shown our tiny villa (#9) and it was terrible. The villa was dilapidated, semi-clean, and the view from the back patio door was unattractive. I diplomatically told the staff that the place was subpar so they moved us to the villa next door that was better. Better, but sadly it also had flaws. The hot water handle in the kitchen sink did not work. The front door did not latch. The ceiling fans wobbled in a scary way. The TV was ancient and had only 4 local channels (which were fuzzy). One mattress was so old it was like a hammock to lie in and you felt the springs on your body. The hotel pool was ove rchlorinated (it looked milky).
We were there only for a couple days waiting for our flight out of Acapulco, so we decided to just stay. During those days I had a chance to observe the hotel. I noticed that a few villas had been updated - better TV's, furniture (those are the pics on the website). there were many villas that had not even been completed. Others were totally run down. I don't know if this place had seen better days or what. But, though it look promising (pretty entry, nice concept of individual villas), it just wasn't that great. I will say the staff were kind and considerate. They gave us an extra fan. They moved us because they wanted us to be comfortable. They tried to help us any way they could. This hotel might work for a tight budget.
