Then when we checked in, the staff put our luggage in our room! What a surprise and such a kind thought. Breakfast offered a lot of local favorites with a variety of choices. The rooms are very nicely equipped, and while slightly small by US standards, they are very thoughtfully laid out. if I could find a room of similar size and layout in the states I'd book it in a heartbeat. The location is fine - about a 20 minute ride and $40 cab fare from New Chitose Airport, which is why I chose it - but there's not much accessible on foot, at least in the winter (there's farmers market right behind the hotel but I assume it's only open in the warmer seasons).
