A very grand hotel located away from the main town, I felt relaxed as soon as I arrived. Very helpful staff, this is now my hotel of choice within this location.

Once again I’ve returned to Nanteos. The staff are SO friendly, the location so incredibly tranquil and the rooms are beautiful. Parking is also ample. Great stay and I’ll definitely be returning!!

Loved our stay, our time at Nanteos was so relaxing. The hotel, our room and grounds were immaculate. We can't wait to come back when the restaurant and common areas are open from current Covid restrictions. The staff were professional and friendly. We felt our safety and enjoyment were of the upmost importance. Breakfast was delicious and delivered to our room within the minute of our arranged room service time, hot, fresh and delicious! The perfect romantic retreat for a couple in need of some down time.

Hotel was nice and room was comfortable, but would benefit from some extra TLC in the second room and bathroom. Breakfast in room was lovely great choice and quality. Our rooms were at the back of the house which meant no sweeping views out to the front, it was a converted Butler’s quarters but great for family due to the separate bedroom for our son. So, would suggest a front facing room if views are important. We didn’t get the full benefit of the hotel due to all communal areas, bar, restaurant etc being out of use due to COVID. Staff friendly and very helpful. Rural setting, car essential for getting about. All in all a very pleasant stay.

Disappointing room. Helpful staff.
Rheidol bedroom was on the second floor. Not easy to access for anyone with limited mobility. The bathroom was badly designed- the shower screen could not open more than two inches because of the sink unit- so to turn on the bath taps you had to stand in the bath. No instructions in room how to phone reception (tried various combinations but none worked). Would not describe this as a ‘luxury double’- it was a very basic double room. There was only one armchair, two cheap dark brown mugs in the tea tray. Etc. Disappointing. Staff in hotel first class- friendly and really helpful. Good breakfast. Easy parking. Beautiful countryside.

The hotel is very remote, difficult to find. We had no hot water, unable to shower, we used our friends room. Granted they gave us a key to use another room, in another floor certainly not convenient. No internet service, most annoying. They did not offer any compensation for our inconvenience. The room was quite comfortable.

Most enjoyable family celebration
Superb family stay for 7 adults, in 4 rooms for 2 nights. Excellent staff throughout, in a spacious and most relaxing mansion style hotel. Breakfasts were very good, especially the daily cooked traditional fare with top ingredients, and expertly prepared. Evening meals were good but not quite fine dining. The vegetables were excellent. Overall the dinner and drinks were a tad overpriced. Would definitely return.

Disappointing really. We were allocated the Formosa Suite at the rear of the building, which was only accessible by the narrow, steep back staircase. The room itself was stiflingly hot even with the supplied fan. To get any fresh air we had to sleep with the rear external door open. This caused an additional problem in that the kitchen extraction system vented close to the door causing an persistent drone during operation. Not very satisfactory.
