The Little Red Oyster House on St. Clements Bay is a 3 bedroom , 2 bathroom cottage that sleeps 6 guests. This picturesque, waterfront cottage is the perfect place for you and your family to unplug from the stresses of everyday life for a long weekend or extended stay. You will wake up to gorgeous sunrises, enjoy afternoon breezes and spend peaceful evenings by our cozy outdoor fire pit.
Guests can enjoy sweeping views of the bay and Potomac River from the fully furnished living room, dining room, kitchen and enclosed sunroom. The cottage has a brick patio with a table and a gas grill. A picnic table is set under a beautiful cherry tree for your crab feasts!
Extra outdoor furniture, kayaks, canoes and yard games are steps away in the shed for your enjoyment on and off the water.
The cottage boast a beautiful master bedroom with gorgeous waterfront views and an en suite bathroom with double sinks and a shower. The second bedroom (queen bed) and a third bedroom (twin trundle beds) share a second bathroom with a tub/shower combination. The open concept living area is perfect for lounging around, movie or game night. Our quaint kitchen and dining area are fully equipped for easy dining.
To satisfy your more adventurous side, you have direct access to the calm tidal waters to fish, collect sea glass or paddle to Newtowne Neck Park, St Clements Island or grab dinner and a drink at Morris Point Restaurant.

A Relaxing Getaway
This is a wonderful house with a terrific location for enjoying the wildlife on the water. The hosts go above and beyond to make their guests feel welcome. We always enjoy our visits to this charming place.

Beautiful and peaceful getaway
The property was beautiful and the location is peaceful, secluded, and relaxing. We loved the sun porch with a beautiful waterfront view of the bay. Perfect place for a quiet and relaxing stay while enjoying beautiful views and nature. We would definitely stay here again. House was spotless and lovely decor. Very comfortable and hosts provided lots of amenities and information about nearby restaurants and shops in town.

So peaceful!
We enjoyed out stay very much in February. It was so quiet and nice. Very very clean! Three generations of family came and loved. The sunroom with the view of the water was amazing and nice and toasty for our winter getaway. Thank you Diane and Harold for being so helpful, all the extra nice touches you added, and sharing your lovely cottage with us! We would love to visit again.

Our stay was absolutely beautiful. The home is perfectly organized, clean and so very well thought out. Diane and Harold have thought out everything you would want or need during your stay including lovely extra touches like fresh flowers and snacks. We used their kayaks and fire pit and loved reading in the sunroom. We hope to come back again!

Wonderful cottage
The cottage is beautifully decorated, comfortable and well stocked with anything you could possibly need. We loved sitting in the sunroom taking in the gorgeous views! The kids enjoyed the games in the house as well the lawn games. The owners left some very nice personal touches which were appreciated! We would definitely stay again.

We had an amazing time at the little red oyster house! The house was very well organized and stocked with all kinds of extras. St Clements Island State Park and Museum were very close to the house and we enjoyed visiting both places. The views, the wildlife, we loved it all . Perfect quick get a way for a little R& R.

Delicious breezes and two river views
We wanted (needed) peace and quiet and got that and more. The owners are pros and the house was a perfect “red cottage by the river”. Oh, and the adolescent Ospreys in their nest being cared for by their two parents was the riveting attraction.

Friends Weekend
I spent the weekend here with my high school friends for our annual weekend to hang out and reconnect. The setting was perfect and we remarked that the house looked even better in person than in the pictures. Wonderful place for a low-key relaxing weekend. We used one of the kayaks, the fire pit, and caught some crabs off the pier. Definitely thinking of returning some time.

A lovely spot
We had a wonderful getaway in this charming cottage, which was spotless and tastefully decorated. The house is well-stocked with not only the essentials, but extras that made our stay particularly enjoyable. The view is lovely and our daughters loved playing on the small beach. Diane was incredibly responsive and helped direct us to a boat rental in Solomons Island for the day. Five stars!

No one wanted to leave!
We just had an amazing weekend at the Little Red Oyster House! Cottage was immaculate, beautifully decorated and the hosts had thought of anything and everything we might possibly need. Every room was cozy, clean and comfortable and we all had a wonderful, relaxing weekend away! We enjoyed building sand castles on the beach, kayak rides in the water, s'mores around the fire pit, playing games at night in the sunroom and delicious crabs on the picnic table out side over looking the peaceful water. 100% recommend this beautiful home for a vacation and family getaway. Any possible thing you can think of that you might need for your trip, the hosts have thought of. Thank you so much for having us and we can't wait to come again!!

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend getaway at this beautifully decorated and appointed home. The home is spotless, has everything you need and the decor is warm, comfortable and inviting. The pictures don’t do it justice! The home AND views are absolutely gorgeous! Feels like being in a brand new home! Watch the sunrise from the master bedroom and relax inside or out taking in the stunning panoramic views. The hosts Diane and Harold were lovely and made us feel personally welcomed. We enjoyed meals and happy hour on the patio, canoeing in the river and hiking at a state park just a short drive away. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway in a beautiful home, look no further! Fantastic!

Perfect Get Away
We loved, beyond belief, your home! It exceeded our expectations. It was so clean, beautifully decorated, comfortable beds and anything we needed was there. We were greeted with fresh flowers and a charcuterie board. Nice touch. This was my first time using Vrbo - we sure found a gem of a cottage! The property is beautifully landscaped. We enjoyed sitting outside looking at the water. Unfortunately, we didn’t have enough time to use the canoe or kayaks that were made available to us. Maybe next time. Diane and Harold were fantastic hosts. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we extended our stay for an extra day. We will definitely recommend your property to anyone coming to this area. Beautifully appointed waterfront getaway
The Little Red Oyster House was a fantastic home to relax and enjoy the quiet waterfront. The hosts have put in lots of thoughtful touches to make guests feel right at home. Comfortable beds and furniture, clean linens, good wifi, a stocked kitchen, and beautiful artisitc and functional touches around the cottage make it a wonderful place to relax. The entire house was spotless and well-organized. The sunporch is a haven within the cottage with comfy furniture and panoramic views of the water to enjoy in all weather. The large yard leading down to the small beach and waterfront is fantastic, and the hosts have thought of everything to make the most of the property: kayaks, cornhole, croquet, beach gear, gas grill, and lounge chairs are all plentiful and in great shape. The firepit under the stars was beautiful. The hosts have taken a beautiful natural scene and added all the right touches to make for a wonderful getaway for children and adults alike. Hard to believe we were such a short drive from DC!

Best VRBO or ABNB we've ever stayed at! Spotlessly clean and so organized to make everything easy for us to enjoy. The shed full of water craft is wonderful. Also, we didn't know the area at all and found Lewisburg to be great for dinners. I highly recommend this property

Artistic, Thoughtful BEAUTIFUL
This corner of the St Clements Bay is magical. My husband and I escaped to this peaceful, clean, beautifully arranged home. Each piece of furniture was artfully selected and had a special design detail. There was beautiful artwork all around the house , some even by the host! We spent our time in the back sunroom and pier with the water, wildlife, sunrise, moonrise, sailboats, speedboats and classic Maryland waterman’s boats as our scenery. The hosts labeled everything and many personal touches made us feel at home. We are appreciative to have had the opportunity to stay here. Can’t wait to book again.
