My wife and I needed some time away to relax and found this gem. Beautiful country location with great pool and stocked refrigerator. Wi-Fi on site and nothing but peace and quiet! Thanks Janice for a great time!

Janice and David were perfect host. Pool house was spacious and had everything you could possibly need. Extremely clean and comfortable. Is located in the country which is very peaceful but within 5 miles of restaurants. Has a beautiful pool area with well maintained flowers and yard.

Perfect getaway! Clean and relaxing.
Our stay was so perfect for our family. The house is beautifully decorated with Cajun charm. The hosts could not be friendlier, and everything provided was super clean and cozy. The pool and garden is gorgeous and the night sky is filled with stars. We can’t wait to visit again!

The Cajun Getaway
We only had a few days for our Anniversary so we just went to near by Tabasco Plant and gardens and the RIP VAN WINKLE GARDENS.Janice and her husband were very accommodating and we were very impressed with how large and well stocked the place was .the pool is beautiful and the place is just precious.Hope to make it our annual anniversary get away , great place to unwind .Dennis and Donna

This is a wonderful property! Janice and David are such great hosts and went above and beyond to provide us with everything we needed. Vermillion Parish is a great place to visit and we will return. Our pup loved it, too!

Stop looking! You have found it! We can’t say enough about The Cajun Getaway and it’s host, Mrs. Janice. With perfect accommodations, beautiful landscaping (and pool), comfortable layout, and wonderfully secluded location… you will love it too. WONDERFUL Getaway ! Highly Recommemd!
We absolutely enjoyed staying at the Cajun Getaway! The pool and pool house were just beautiful and very comfortable and stocked with so many things ot was so welcoming ! Beautiful place for a getaway
Loved this place! Wonderful pool all to ourselves. Every snack and food you would want, as well as great wine. To have a full size washer and dryer is so convenient. The only change I'd suggest would be to change the double bed to a queen size. Be sure to check out the owner's beautiful pottery.

Quintessential Cajun
The home is very comfortable and beautifully decorated. The garden/pool area is lovely and relaxing. Janice and David are the perfect hosts; very warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived until we left. When everything you need, and more, is provided, what else is there to say? We would definitely recommend Cajun Getaway to friends and hope to return one day ourselves.

Family fun
My family enjoyed the Cajun Getaway! The spacious house and large pool were amazing to relax and enjoy family time together. Stocked items in kitchen made it easy to enjoy a meal on site or cook healthy meals. Thank you for your thoughtfulness on this. Owners are around to help if need and are very friendly. 10 minutes or so from town to go shopping or see a movie. Looking forward to returning. You will love this property!

Perfect Girls Trip
This property was the PERFECT location for a girls get away weekend. The pool was beautiful. The property was secluded, and Ms. Janice and Mr. David were great hosts. The fridge was stocked with eggs, bacon, milk, OJ, etc. I've rented a lot of properties from VRBO, and I've never experienced that before. I will return and tell all of my friends.

Home away from home
Beautiful home and a wonderful place to stay. The property manager was accommodating and a pleasure to speak with. Everything about the home was clean and the pool and property were very well kept. There was even a quant area with hammock, swings and garden lights to enjoy. The freshly stocked fridge and pantry with all the dishes and cooking supplies needed made our stay easy and convenient. We even got to enjoy a family dinner poolside and my kids loved it. Highly recommend this home and plan to return in the future. Thanks again!

Home Away from Home - Can't wait to return next summer.
We spent the week after Hurricane Ida here. It was a planned getaway that turned into an evacuation. Our back home worries were lessened by the care and comfort of Mr. David and Mrs. Janice. We felt like family. They were extremely responsive and helpful. The unit is very private and had tons of items stocked which helped out very much. We plan to come back next year.

Cajun Getaway is truly a home away from home.
It was fabulous, a little piece of paradise! Janice and David are wonderful hosts. The house is clean and custom decorated, with beautiful original works of local art and flavor. It is located in a quiet area but close to attractions and restaurants. Perfect setup for a couple's retreat or family vacation. The kitchen was stocked with all the things you never remember to bring but need:-) The outdoor pool and surrounding gardens are beautifully designed to allow for relaxation and fun. The patios/porches are welcoming and comfortable to enjoy morning coffees and/or an evening glass of wines. We cannot wait to come back and stay again on our next visit!

Just Perfect
My husband and I wanted/needed a small getaway for our anniversary. We didn't want to travel far and found Cajun Getaway. It was perfect. We have gone to many rentals over the years and we have never been to one where there were so many thoughtful incidentals. There was no need for a trip to a store for something forgotten, because if it wasn't here we just didn't need it. Hosts were very friendly and helpful, the grounds were beautiful and there were far too many warm and homey touches that were welcoming to mention. The pool was a God send! We will book again!

Best experience ever!!
As soon as we arrived Janice was there to welcome us and walk us through the property, she had everything looking beautiful, cozy and with extra touches (basket of toys, kids toothbrush and toothpaste in case we forgot one, chargers for our phones, makeup wipes, 1st aid kit, the list goes on and on) Janice also has that warm southern hospitality that you wish you could bottle up and take back with you ❤ I will definitely go back, if I had a choice I never would've left.
