A Relaxing Romantic Getaway in the Heart of Cajun Country

Located in the heart of downtown Abbeville is St. Charles Cottage, Abbeville's newest B&B property. Originally built in the 1940s, it has been recently renovated and is the perfect setting for a relaxing/romantic getaway. Upon entering the cottage, our guests step onto a simply inviting front porch that beckons them to stay for awhile. The living area of 1100 plus sq. ft. offers a living room, kitchen/dining room combination, a bedroom, bath w/shower and a spacious dressing room. We hope that you will want to share with us the ambiance of our Cajun Culture.

What an exceptional experience! Just returned home and are planning our next visit to Abbeville. Debbie is such a sweet hostess as the memories made there will be cherished and reflected. Great weekend getaway
My husband & I stayed here for a short weekend getaway. Debbie was more than accommodating with all the little extras from a small thing of milk in the fridge to toothpaste if you forgot it like we did. There was road work going on when we came in town on Friday & Debbie met us at the Buger King around the corner to guide us in. As soon as we got out of the car at the house she greets us with a hug. We felt her warm welcome from the very beginning. The breakfast pastries were wonderful each morning. We can’t wait to book again but stay longer next time.

Such a spacious & quaint property!!
My first impression walking into this place was "WOW!". I was blown away. So beautiful, so spacious, beautifully decorated with antiques, plenty of linens, very comfortable bed, centrally located. It had everything I needed in the kitchen. And not to mention the owner's sweet gestures of some needed odds and ends in the fridge along with a personal delivery of fresh pastries for my breakfast. :):)

I was in town for work for three weeks. The house is stocked with anything you might need. It has plenty of space and is in a great location. Debbie was a wonderful host. She brought breakfast every morning and checked in on me. The house was also spotless.

Relaxing Little Retreat
I stayed at Mrs. Debbie's property as a "mom's retreat" weekend. Everything was so lovely. I loved sitting on the front patio in the morning and curling up on the couch the rest of the day. Special treats were abundant in the house and I wanted for nothing. I would highly recommend staying here.

Perfect Weekend
This was such a wonderful place to stay for my Husband’s birthday. The house itself is stinking adorable. There’s a handful of restaurants within walking distance. As well as a Walmart 7 minutes away and Palmetto Island State Park is 20 minutes away, great place to go kayaking. Mrs. Debra is super duper nice and easy to get in touch with. We loved being here.

Hidden Gem
The cottage was better that described online. I came to Abbeville to visit my husband family for the weekend from Georgia. We have been here numerous times before but never stayed in Abbeville due to the lack of suitable accommodations. This place is decorated nicely and you feel just like you have arrived home in Louisiana. The property manager Debbie is the true meaning of southern hospitality. She made sure that we were comfortable and well informed about the surrounding areas and different sights to visit during our stay. We will definitely be staying here again for our next visit.
