"I had stayed at a number of budget hotels in my 30+ years of traveling. Even at a budget hotel it should be clean. When I checked in, there was mold in the bathroom ceiling. After some discussion they moved me to another room which was cleaner but then the TV didn't work. I again raised this to their attention and they said only two TVs work in the buiding and they were renovating and did not have a timeline of when the TVs would be working for anyone. "Felt like we had our own little apartment in the heart of Ghent. Was clean and had a nice "Honesty Bar" where you could grab drinks and snacks and just write down what you took to pay at the end. Also had free food (bread, eggs, meat, cheese, etc.) which was nice to make a quick sandwich. Close to everywhere you'd want to go. Recommend!"

"This is a nice bed & breakfast. My room was on the ground floor, near to the entrance hall which meant I could hear other guests coming and going. The door wasn’t exactly soundproof, the curtains didn’t quite close but overall it’s a good place to stay. Breakfast was adequate and the hosts were pleasant enough."

"Luxurious B&B, very tranquil, clean, quiet, nice modern rooms. Belgian beers & wine available at democratic prices. Owner couple runs this B&B and have gradually expanded it over the past 12 years to now 15 rooms. We stayed in the Superior Room type which seems try largest one and is the size of a studio with separate sitting area. Breakfast served in common area but otherwise no restaurant on-site. Biking and walking trails nearby. Highly recommended for a quiet stay near Dendermonde. "

"Excellent stay overall. We stayed in the top floor (duplex). Everything we could need in a room, absolutely gorgeous, clean and minimal. Keep in mind this is not a traditional hotel. I did message the hotel beforehand through multiple platforms and never received a single response. Communication is not great if you need something outside of the welcome email. "Excellent accommodations. The house is one of Brussels oldest standing houses and has an interesting past which is seen throughout the house. The location is perfect; short walking distance to the main square in old town and not to far from subways. Marc the owner is amazing; goes above and beyond to insure you have a great stay. "We had an amazing time here, such a lovely place and really warm despite it being winter! The breakfast was amazing, a basket of goodies to tuck into with all the required utilities in the kitchenette. Parking was great with an option for EV charging. The city centre was just 10 minutes away by foot and very easy to find. Highly recommend this place, would definitely stay again."

"Incredible location! Perfect for our first trip to Ghent. Plenty of space for two of us (adults). The bathroom glass makes privacy an issue if you are not a couple, and as noted on many other reviews, the shower gets water all over the glory. Those small bathroom issues would not sway us from staying here again though. We loved the property and the vibe of the place. They have done an incredible job with preserving it. I highly recommend this as a place to call home during a Ghent visit."
