There wasn't much to do in the surrounding area but that isn't really the hotel's fault. The one thing I will say that was not satisfactory at the property was the breakfast. "This beautiful new resort made for a lovely vacation. The location is very nice, in the middle of a golf course, the staff is excellent, great breakfast, very tasteful decor. Our room was super comfortable, especially the nice big, firm bed. If you require an American King, this bed will not disappoint! The layout of the resort is unique, with the majority of the rooms/suites in a series of smaller buildings with no elevators, so I will say that if you have any issues with stairs or managing...

"We had a two bedroom suite at the Residences. Hotel is beautiful but it is very spread out. To go to beach and main hotel building you need to take a shuttle which you may need to wait for 15-20 minutes. For a 5 star resort service was a bit spotty. We had a mishap at breakfast- was told we can do a la cart instead of buffet but ended up waiting for 1 hour to get eggs which was ridiculous. This hotel is also outside of Albufeira so location is not super convenient - you have to drive to town. "

For the price should not be charged $1.50 for each extra coffee pods. Would be nice if they had a shuttle to transport guests to town, as it was about 30 minute to walk there on the boardwalk. "
