"Airone is a beautifully designed hotel in a great location. The staff (especially Valeria and the young woman with the blue eyes and curly blond hair at reception) were wonderful, patient and helpful. Also the ladies who were making the food were very sweet. All the staff were very nice. My room was a bit dusty when I arrived. Dust on the bedside tables and on the fridge. It wasn't as clean as I would have liked. Some area carpet rugs would be nice to absorb the echoes of the people in the hall....

"After spending time trying to find a reasonably priced hotel we found this little gem. Some reviews were negative some positive. We were stopping over for a couple of days so just needed what it said on the tin!! The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the room basic, but very clean and air conditioned. Free soft drinks and water were added each morning, fresh towels and room cleaned even on a 2 night stay. Nice relaxing area and court yard for breakfast, fresh fruit, yogurt, coffee...

Only complaint is the bus tours, they all decend on the restaurant at once overwhelming the staff and other guests. "It was old world charming. The perfect place to relax. Night views were incredible. The staff was wonderful. We loved our room. It’s isolated beach front so to get to the center and top of Taormina you have to walk up the road and take the cable car. We loved it! Grazie tanto. "
