"Great stay with a view of Porta Nigra. I had booked a room with two singles and the receptionist was a bit rude (or maybe just German blunt) and said our room was two single beds pushed together, which is very common in Germany. It was okay, but not the room I purposely paid more for. The heating was so hot we were sweating and the only option to turn it off and have the window open was loud. "The room we had was dark and dingy. The weather was hot and there was no air conditioning. We asked for a fan and a very unfriendly man at the front desk barked at us that NO there was not one. Very disappointing stay will NOT be going back and NOT recommending this hotel to anyone, actually the opposite. "

"The hotel is in a beautiful location and has lovely, big rooms. The front desk really helped us out after a misunderstanding and were very generous in giving us an upgrade. We ate at the restaurant and the food was fantastic, with their own wine delicious and reasonably priced. Breakfast was equally good. "
