"We had a really nice stay at the Bayerischer Hof! The location was really convenient for us traveling with a toddler so we were able to take the train in and out of the Neustadt station basically across the street. The breakfast was really nice and they let us add it on the day of which was helpful during our stay as we adjusted to the jet lag. There’s a tram stop really close to the hotel which what we used to get around Dresden with ease. Definitely would stay here again!"

"The four star Bulow Residenz is one minute walk down the road from the five star Bulow Palais. When we stayed at the Residenz the reception desk was only staffed for some of the day, so when checking out in the morning we had to walk to the Palais. It felt we were rather alone in the Residenz. "This was a transit hotel for us, as we've been to Dresden many times, as just needed a place near the Autobahn. As such, it met the moment. Service in the restaurant was very, very slow, unusual for Germany, we found. I had trouble even getting the bill to pay. Food very ordinary. I think in some ways we could have done better than this place for a transit hotel, and if you have the time, best to do a better search than we did. "
