"This is a gorgeous remote hotel with breathtaking views of the Douro valley. It is beautiful and modern and the room was exceptional. We particularly enjoyed the wine making tour and tasting. Would highly recommend for a relaxing getaway to the Douro region. "

"If you’re looking for a place to escape the crowds of Porto and enjoy the beautiful vineyards, then this is your spot. Spacious rooms, small, but nice bar area and rooftop pool. Their wines are great, and food was very good for dinner (especially the octopus). Breakfast buffet was good, plus they made eggs to order along with fantastic bacon. "

"Our stay here was great. The owner and staff were friendly and very accommodating. Service was good, a little slow at times but understandable since they were short staffed. Buffet breakfast included and very good. Snacks and light meals available throughout the day which was nice since you are far from everything. A la carte dinner which we chose the first night but dinner is served at 8:30pm (which turned out to be closer to 9:30 because of lack of staff). Meal was very good but too late for us. It was nice to be able to choose from their daily menu for an earlier meal. "
