" it was surprise to me when I reached the hotel and had to leave it since it is nothing like the mis leading deceiving pictures where the hotel was extremely dirty, deserted, the bed with pee stains, hygiene zero and 3 guys managing it who has zero hygiene and didn’t look like they are running the place which was quite creepy. Don’t be fooled by review and pictures. I had to leave and didn’t get refund so do hotels.com didn’t refund me when I reported the issue in the same moment. I had to lose...

"Let's just say, I will definitely return. Clean, design like, minimal hotel. Private access to one of the best beaches in the South. Staff are friendly and the place feels homely. Easy access to local beach bars, restaurants, the train station, etc. Walk, tuk tuk, book a car via the hotel. "I loved this hotel so much. The hotel itself was beautiful, clean and historic. The pool was amazing and the grounds were great. Above all of it was that the staff was so incredible. They were helpful and kind. I was traveling alone and the restaurant manager was completely helpful to me, giving me tips and also prepared a special seafood meal for me that was one of the best i have ever had. I will definitely come back here next time im in Sri Lanka! "

"A hotel with a nice view. Run a little like a homestay with a friendly host with 3 dogs. Main issue, and I'm surprised no one has mentioned it, is that there is a steep climb up the driveway. Taxis will not get up it ! The hotel provides a tuk-tuk shuttle to get bags etc as well as a courtesy lift whenever you press the bell (up to 9pm). Not a place to stay if you have bad knees. I did think the hotel was pricey for what we got. Pool is simple but we loved it . Food was lovely too. However....

"This hotel is one of a kind, the staff is incredible, the views out of this world! The room was honestly my favourite of any place I’ve stayed in all my travels. Clearly next level design and architecture in a very subtle and tasteful way. The spa treatment was wonderful and the cooking class under the banyan tree was magical. I wish I had stayed longer and definitely will next time I am back. I can’t express how fantastic this hotel is thank you for making us feel like home ❤️"

We were provided exceptional service from Kumara, Rasika,Thilina, Sehan yasmka and chef sujith. They were friendly and kind, and the food prepared by chef Sujith was so so delicious — authentic Sri Lankan food to innovative new creations, he can do it all. "The location is awesome. The rooms are well designed and at a high quality standard (e.g. marble tiles in the bathroom. Bidet..) Bungalow with sea view - unbeatable. The location is not directly at the beach, but at an elevated location inside a forest area. So the view is incredible and super quiet. No street noise or smoke. Instead one can enjoy nature sound, birds, butterflies, some monekys climbing the trees and sometimes leguans and view at the sea the same time.The staff is very friendly....
