"Lovely hotel but air conditioning does not work so was like trying to sleep in a sauna. For some reason it only blows and does not cool, and is also very noisy. A real shame as otherwise would have been 5/5. "

"Note this really is a hotel for families with kids. Everything revolves around that. When we arrived there was loud music in the courtyard, a side room with dad's staring at a tv screen showing the football, and pictures online of a buffet dinner was enough to convince us we had picked the wrong place."

"There was a change in hotel management during our stay. As the new managers were moving into their own accommodations, the main portion of the hotel was closed. "They cancelled our reservation less than 24 hours in advance via an email we did not see because we were driving through the countryside. Their reason was that they were remodeling. They didnt know that were going to be remodeling sooner than one day in advance?? Give me a break! Add that to the fact that they referred us to another hotel which cost 40 Euro less but we were billed the higher price!! Can you believe it? "The personal service, beautiful room, quiet setting, and great restaurant are several of the traits that made our brief stay at Cal Sastre in Santa Pau a highlight of our first trip to Spain. Finding the hotel in the small old city was a bit of a challenge, but it was worth it! We'll be back."
