"Very friendly and helpfull staff. The local Masques loudspeakers start before dawn, they are not overly loud inside, but still woke up when they were playing. Breakfast was adequate with many choices. We would stay here again as there is no escape from the Masques loudspeakers. "

"the checkin was super easy and smooth.. front desk clerk came and opened the door upon arrival, big smile on his face and from then on i had a new friend in Makassar.. any questions i just asked him and not only did he answer them but would tell me better way or place than what i was thinking.. the food in the restaurant as well as the service was perfect.Coto Makassar huge sreving and just ENAK.. "

"This is such an old building. The strong stench in the hallway of mold and cigarettes. Furniture in rooms is so old, window curtains are stained and the beds are very uncomfortable. The dining hall has dated and dirty furniture. "

"Well its not the Ritz, its not the cleanest or best looking hotels. But the beds are lovely, the water peessure is perfect and the pool is a great escape from the hot sweaty streets. Breakfast is filling too. Just don't look to closely at the condition of the building. I would stay here again for sure."

"Room had problems. Paint chipping from furniture with mold in bathroom seals where friendly staff worked hard to keep it cleand. Restaurant furniture was very old, cracked, broken covering, food served at buffet was cold. Simply had to look for napkins/tissue papers where staff did not care about guest Hotel definitely not 5 star. Will not stay there in future"

"Booked 4 rooms for 3 nights. pre-paid and 1 room for 4 nights. One guest who arrived early had to move rooms because of condition of 1st, then the hotel boiler failed resulting in loss of hot water throughout hotel and restaurant was temporary pending refurb. The rest of us didnt even bother going and we all moved to the excellent Melia for our extended stay."
