"While the location and property itself is fine, it is in a high standard with artsy feel there is one major shortcoming. Apparently hotel has this weird “policy” whereby they assume guests do not want room cleaned (for staying more than one night) unless they inform the staff they wanted room cleaned or put a “sign” on the door saying you want room cleaned. The front desk agent was not sympathetic and did not understand how ridiculous the policy is. I’m surprised other guests did not mention...

"This hotel is a hidden gem! I don't think you can get better conditions (swimming pool, saunas, steam room, lovely breakfast) and frendlier staff for the price. It's true that the furniture and decor are a little old-fashioned, but everything is sparkling clean, beds are comfortable, and rooms have huge balconies as well. "Charming hotel, and has a nice view from the top hill looking down. No issues staying and my room came w/ a balcony which was a big perk. Staff members are friendly and the morning breakfast was quite good. It was a hot day in Steyr reaching near 27-29c, and the room stayed warm till evening. "Nice apartment/hotel. Very close to a supermarket, and walking distance to the bus stop. If you don’t mind walking about 10-15 minutes, you can get to some of the main streets with lots of shopping and restaurants, and even to the main plaza (Hauptplatz). No on-site staff, but responsive to emails. Minor issues: There’s a washer in the room (with no instructions for its use), but no dryer. There’s also no microwave, which would have made things very nice. I had to go out and buy a non-slip...
