"Terrible Hotel - do not stay there!! We had 5 days there just before Christmas. It says it is a 4.5 star hotel but there was no restaurant, no bar, no pool bar and breakfast was terrible and the same every day with no choice and nothing hot (unless you count warmish toast). The staff did not care, all they want is to make money and when we spoke to locals on the beach or in the town who knew the hotel they said that they have a terrible reputation locally. "This hotel has a wonderful location, just past Jose Ignacio. Unfortunately it is now rundown and unkempt. The grounds, which were lovely when the hotel first opened, are now a disaster. Doubt they have seen a gardener all summer. There were big black ants traveling up the walls outside our room. Huge dead water bugs lay on the floor of the restaurant bathroom. Quite unappealing, to say the least. This hotel could be fantastic, but needs a lot of TLC, and it is not receiving it. "
