The staff were very friendly and we experienced the most efficient check in of any hotel. Very quick, no wasted effort, and a friendly exchange with the counter staff. After a change of shift overnight, the staff continued to be friendly and engaging with the customers. The room is as advertised, everything is comfortable and clean. "The receptionist was friendly warm and welcoming. The room was spotlessly clean as was the bathroom and the best shower of our whole trip. I only wish there had been a kettle in the room to make a coffee in the morning. The food in the restaurant area, next door was wonderful. "The reception was poorly manned and very slow, we were seen but ignored at first. We were unable to get breakfast before 08:00, but we need to leave before that and they would not help us at all. Getting out of the grounds before then was very difficlut."

"We opted for demi pension which was really good value. Room was very clean and comfortable although a little snug. Restaurant was excellent with lots of choice, menu plus A La Carte. Breakfast also excellent and service was superb. Only disappointment was car parking - from the description we had assumed parking was on site and secure not across the road on the open verge. Very quiet area, opposite a canal with good walks nearby."
