The hotel itself is stunning, with breathtaking views from the terrace. I stayed in a two-story room with a mezzanine and a terrace, which added to the charm and comfort of my stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home. Breakfasts were a highlight, featuring delicious fresh breads and other tasty options. I also treated myself to a massage and enjoyed some time in the jacuzzi. While the jacuzzi could have been a bit hotter, I didn’t ask the staff to adjust it, so it’s possible they could have made it warmer. Parking was conveniently located about half a block away, but I found that I didn’t need my car much at all. The hotel is within walking distance of several vineyards, where I enjoyed tours and tastings. Additionally, the ruins and numerous restaurants and wine bars are just a short walk away, making it easy to explore the area on foot. Overall, I highly recommend Mere Germaine Hotel for its beautiful setting, excellent service, and convenient location. It’s a perfect spot for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in Châteauneuf-du-Pape."

"the front desk closes at 7pm and they charge you 25 euro to call them if it's a non-emergency. we didn't have any sheets on one of the beds so there was nothing we could do. rooms are very basic and dated"
