"Very nice room, with everything working. The food was excellent - quality ingredients and beautifully presented on the plates. Speaking personally I would have liked a few more of those lovely vegetables to accompany the very tasty belly pork main course! Plenty of parking - very close to the accommodation. Very helpful and friendly reception staff. We will be back!"

"Cam was amazing and made me feel very welcome. The room is for 1 or a couple and had everything you need. The is no restaurant but the Nags head was a 5 min walk away. Breakfast was very relaxing and delicious. Bow the new poodle was adorable and very entertaining. "

"I had a perfect one night stay. The room is clean and airy (I hate stuffy hotel rooms), bed is comfy, bathroom is excellent, wifi is good, i connected to the tv and watched films while working on my laptop. "Good acomodation booked in with the new property owner Kurt, we were the second transaction made on his hotel account, chap by the bar beat us to no 1 position by a matter of minutes, Kurt had recently bought the Castle Hotel friday the 1st of September was his first day so basically hit the road running! He explained theres going to be big changes / improvements over the coming months so watch the space, as a New Zealander the bar area is going to be a sport bar area with some great rugby...

"Accommodation is in well furnished self catering or modern rooms. This is not a hotel. Access and parking is convoluted and is not ideal for those with mobility problems. Rooms are accessed via a staircase. Room to room noise is evident and Saturday night is lively across the road until midnight. Breakfast is served at the 1176 restaurant and is very good with friendly staff and good locally sourced ingredients. There is nearby street parking for blue badge holders but would not recommend...
