"The very best thing about this property are the hosts. Daniel has great English and he is very knowledgeable about travelling in Cuba with lots of terrific, reliable references and advice. If you need anything at all he can likely find it for you. They are good cooks with flexible meal times. Beautifully tiled rooms on a side street close to downtown. The newly redone roof top room next to the terrace is particularly good."

"Customer Service is very poor. It doesn’t matter to be in a country like Cuba to have a good service and have people feel respected and cared of what have being paid for. Rooms are nice, but no shampoo not enough towels even if asked. Continental breakfast is a lie, cooking is good, but service is the worst. We ordered dinner and they came with something else with no explanation or apologies, when I asked the guy about what we ordered he just said : oh yes, but it’s over. Unbelievable! Nature...

"First, there is no safe or mini-bar fridge in any of their rooms like they state in their amenities they have. The food was terrible, and the menu had very little to choose from. Majority of their staff speak little or no English or even understand it. Very hard to communicate with people when they do not understand your language. Music at pool side was so loud, you could not even talk to a person sitting beside you. They ran out of cola, beer, malta , and lemon-limon for three days. ...

"A truly "luxury" hotel, well equipped it even had an iron and ironing board (I have never seen this at a Cuban hotel before). Nothing was broken, everything worked, the television was excellent. The only slightly downside was the slightly meager fruit at breakfast at a time when fruitstands had alot of ripe fruit nearby, and the presence of more flies than there should have been in the dining area. I suggest eating at one of the private "paladars" in town such as the Perla del Norte. All in...
