Owaka nearby is also a lovely spot for an hour or two, with a solid restaurant, great coffee place, superb book shop and quaint little museum and community space. It is a beautiful spot, far from the world where all you'll hear are birds, the sea and wind moving...

"Well furnished large bedrooms. Bathroom was some way up the hallway. Continental breakfast plentiful as well as complimentary soft drinks. Quiet and peaceful in lovely large garden. Hot tub was a nice addition. "
