"We booked a family room and we were pleased to find it was two separate rooms, excellent for noisy kids. Check-in was quick and painless, checkout the same. The hotel is located 15 minutes walk from Salamanca markets, and about 10 minutes from the centre of the city. Parking is only $15 per night but you can park on the street 6pm-8am or on the weekends for free, which we did as were only there Friday night."

"Very clean and comfortable, great view of the Tasman Bridge and a quick stroll down hill to Salamanca. You will have an up hill walk on the way back though, hard to escape hills in Hobart 😊. Very convenient to everything."

"The hotel is a lovely old establishment, one of the first in Hobart. We were very happy with the reception staff as they were very polite and helpful. Although the site shows pictures of the lovely dining and restaurant area don’t expect it to be open unless it’s the peak season,this was not specified on the site and we were disappointed we couldn’t dine there. Our room was very spacious with an enormous oversized bed and a nice view of the old church opposite. A bit dusty behind the bed but...

"This is a great location and the only thing that lets it down somewhat is the very limited food options in the cafe. When heading out on early tours it would be nice to have the option to eat in the hotel but i didn’t find the menu that great. This was the only downside in my opinion. The staff are lovely and friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. Very easy walking distance to both the harbour and the city centre. "
