"I highly recommend The Davenport Inn in Portsmouth NH. We recently stayed 2 nights for a quick weekend getaway. The property has been tastefully restored as a modern inn that retains its old-world historic property charm. Extremely clean and well maintained. This hidden gem with only 8 rooms is top of its class for a boutique hotel. The location to downtown is perfect being only a few minutes stroll through historic period neighborhoods. "Central position closed to main shops. Room was great, nice size clean and modern. Breakfast was also fine , lots of choices. Overall i would definitely stay again in future."

"The area around the Inn is amazing. Parking limited only 5 spaces. The room looked run down, dirty toilet brush, badly stained paint around the bathroom door framing, heater didn't work. For $650 a night with no breakfast included, beware this is not a B and B breakfast costs extra so it's a BWB bed without breakfast. No vanity products or tea/coffee in the room. Would not recommend staying here, poor value for money. "
