"Very nice property and staff at reception and housekeeping is very friendly. Staff provided a wheelchair (post surgery) and the property was easy enough to navigate. The only downside, I am sorry to say, is the breakfast. On a Saturday morning it was chaotic with everything from bread to cold cuts and plain cheeses being gone. You had to ask for coffee mugs. Got one. Had to ask for a second. Had to ask for coffee again. Had to ask for knives (which were not available anywhere). After 20 min...

The town was extremely quiet when we stayed so not many dining options available. It would have been good to have some help with this from reception prior to arrival. Hotel has a lovely position on the Rhein and the village was so pretty and quant. "

"We spent five nights in this unique hotel with a fascinating history. It is set by the River Lahn in the beautiful spa town of Bad Ems. The facilities such as the thermal pool were superb and we made full use of them. The staff could not have been more helpful, the room was really clean and comfortable and the food excellent. It is unashamedly old-fashioned but is full of character and we had a superb holiday there. Highly recommended!"
