"The hotel is a lovely old establishment, one of the first in Hobart. We were very happy with the reception staff as they were very polite and helpful. Although the site shows pictures of the lovely dining and restaurant area don’t expect it to be open unless it’s the peak season,this was not specified on the site and we were disappointed we couldn’t dine there. Our room was very spacious with an enormous oversized bed and a nice view of the old church opposite. A bit dusty behind the bed but...

"A good place to stay when in Hobart right at the end of Salamanca Place. You have all of the eating places that area has to offer on your doorstep. Battery Point is a 5 minute walk while the city centre is just 10 minutes away on foot. We have stayed here several times before and will stay again in the future."
