If, like us, an air conditioned room is essential then I suggest you call the hotel prior to your visit to make sure it is working. "There are awards from 20 years ago hanging around, I guess this is when the hotel got its four stars. Since then the building got pretty shabby, especially the bathrooms. The breakfast is the only thing that matches the stars claim, I’d say. We received no “parking instructions” message like other Italian hotels send couple of days in advance, and it’s badly needed! "This is a beautiful property. The buildings and surrounding countryside. The outdoor amenities are terrific with a large pool and a jetted smaller pool (cold water). The staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was small and utilitarian and the bed was too hard for our liking.
