"Fabulous! A truly relaxing home from home, with friendly and professional staff. We appreciated the quiet of our room ( we didn’t hear other guests), it's draftproofed sash window with view over the seashore, along with a comfortable bed and sufficient space in the room to be at ease. We really enjoyed the warm, cosy and relaxed atmosphere downstairs , the character of the place and tasteful interiors, and last, but not least, the delightful christmas tree in the dining area! "The hotel was lovely; the rooms were very well appointed and comfortable. It was very quiet and relaxing. The common rooms were very nice and welcoming. The staff was professional, gracious and friendly. We spent a lovely cocktail hour in the lounge and enjoyed delicious custom cocktails. Dinner and breakfast were first rate! Local foods, creatively prepared. We went for an afternoon hike along the canal, which was easy to access from the property. Highly recommend this property."

"We had a nice stay at this hotel; friendly staff, nice food, good sized bedroom and lovely views. We had a standard turret bedroom and whilst it was spacious, the en suite was really small and felt like a shower had been squeezed into a room that used to be a toilet room. There was no space to swing an earwig let alone a cat! The toilet had a cigarette burn on it and the lid on the plastic cistern didn’t fit on the tank. "Had a lovely 1 night stay at this hotel with my daughter when visiting friends. Hotel was very clean, perfectly situated for exploring the area, staff were so welcoming and friendly (we especially loved Ruby the dog at breakfast) We would like to return in summer for a longer stay."

"Really nice apartment right in the middle of town. Very comfortable beds and lovely cosy lounge. The kitchen area is also very tidy with all you need to cook for your family. Would definitely stay here again. Only slight downside is the noise from the flats above and below, but this was daytime only noise. We slept very well. Overall very enjoyable stay. "

"Great stay , arrived wet through on dirt bikes , couldn’t have wished for a warmer welcome, kit was dryer off and left in the utility room and a welcome cup of tea and coffee was provided, Lovely hosts , clean room and cracking breakfast , just what was needed in the typical wet wales weather Would love to come back one day with my family, "

"Great location just metres from the village centre with the added bonus of parking at rear. Excellent host - very informative about local attractions and amenities and even booked a table for us at a local pub for our evening meal."

"A very convenient base for the Machynlleth music festival. The house was very clean, all machinery worked fine and my only request would be that the house comes supplied with a few dishwasher tablets, a bit of soap powder, and a washing up brush or cloth."

"This was my first trip to this Hotel. Friendly staff on arrival and during stay. Room clean tidy and quiet and well stocked with tea milk and coffee. Air con worked and you could open the windows for some fresh sea air. I used the restaurant for my evening meal and breakfast. Food service was quick with hot and good pub food. Breakfast was great again with friendly staff. My only minor issue (third world problem) was that breakfast service didn’t start until 8am, which is a bit late if you are on business. I would definitely stay again when next on business in the area. I was initially a bit hesitant because of some pretty damming past reviews but I was very satisfied with my 1 night business stay."

"A lovely warm room with a comfortable bed and well placed for visiting sites in the area. The staff were helpful and the hotel had a nice ambiance. The breakfast was good with a good choice of different breakfasts."
