"Absolutely stunning location right on Lake Annecy. Took about 25-30 minutes to drive to Annecy itself. Rooms relatively simple but very comfortable beds and perfectly well appointed. Staff all very friendly. Only disappointment is that bar food options were limited to cheese/charcuterie boards - this left us with limited options with one pregnant person and one small child. "We arrived after 1400, reception staff Mon existent. A cleaner helped us inside via the restaurant, still no reception staff! 10 mins later a member of staff arrived. Room not ready, no chance to eat in restaurant as full that evening. Other hotel restaurant in vicinity also full. Advised to go into Clusaz and try our look there! Balcony had 'view' of blank 2 storey wall, not hills or lake as detailed. Hotel is undergoing extension building works to finish in June 19."

"Overall my 11 year old son and I had a good week in the SOWELL HOTELS Mont Blanc & Spa. The buffet breakfast and dinner were excellent with well-prepared food and plenty of choice. The room was comfortable and the staff very helpful. The main down-side is how worn and dated the room and all of the communal areas are. I'm not sure when it received it's 4* rating, but the property feels quite aged with bathroom furniture, doors and walls all very worn with visible damage."
