"Room was very cold and we tried to adjust the temperature from 22° but it was set by the hotel. The temperature was raised by 1° on our last evening, which was better. The mirror in the room was in the corner and not in a good place to use when drying my hair especially as the socket underneath the mirror had 3 round pins and not a standard british socket. Also, there was no space to dry my hair properly as the wall was too close to the mirror. The mirror needs to be moved to a more accessible...

"A lovely, traditional independent hotel. Feels recently refurbished. Room was spacious and modern. Spotless throughout. Warm and genuine staff. Modern gym and pool. Sauna needs attention - the floor and seats get dangerously hot, couldn’t put feet on the floor! Restaurant excellent. Lost a star due to very poor noise insulation between rooms. "

"We had a great time at the Mickleover. The hotel was well located near Derby with ample parking. What made our stay great was that everything in the room was working properly with a good level of upkeep. The staff were wonderfully engaging and took time to deal with us individually to give us that 5 star treatment."
