"Lovely hotel but air conditioning does not work so was like trying to sleep in a sauna. For some reason it only blows and does not cool, and is also very noisy. A real shame as otherwise would have been 5/5. "

"There was a change in hotel management during our stay. As the new managers were moving into their own accommodations, the main portion of the hotel was closed. "Beautiful setting and a good atmosphere in hotel. Not the most luxurious (given 4 stars) or pristine (given price) but a relaxing place to be with nice staff. "

"They cancelled our reservation less than 24 hours in advance via an email we did not see because we were driving through the countryside. Their reason was that they were remodeling. They didnt know that were going to be remodeling sooner than one day in advance?? Give me a break! "The personal service, beautiful room, quiet setting, and great restaurant are several of the traits that made our brief stay at Cal Sastre in Santa Pau a highlight of our first trip to Spain. Finding the hotel in the small old city was a bit of a challenge, but it was worth it! We'll be back."
