"Nice property that is in need of many repairs. Pool tiles gone and not replaced. Ditto for decking. Ditto for pool and beach gear (Masks, snorkels etc) in need of replacement. Lovely villa and it was spotless. By far the best improvement would be the meals which were far below average. We took across the bay to eat at the high beach as the Pearl needs both better quality and decent food. Coming from Phenom Penh and Seam Reap which had amazing food and options we were disappointed. "

"Absolutely appalling experience! The hotel prioritized an event, booking every room except ours. The event overtook the pool area with blaring music and screaming girls for over 5 hours, making it unusable. To make matters worse, we discovered uncleaned feces behind the toilet in our room and rats scurrying around the main pool area. Despite our complaints to the staff, the noise was unbearable, even on the top floor, drowning out the TV. We were forced to leave the resort and spend hours...

"We found the staff friendly courteous and attentive. The hotel foyer, breakfast area and our room was very clean and tidy and our room was made up nicely each day. The hotel has a supermarket a very short walk from it (within 50 metres of the end of the driveway). We didn’t like the fact that the advertising on Expedia and the hotels own online directory states that there was a Western restaurant on site but we were told upon enquiry that this had been closed for 2 years. "This place is so disappointing, dirty and disgusting. Both the hotel and surrounding area are unfinished and unfit for paying guests at this time. The pool wasn’t ready, the sun beds hadn’t arrived from China, the lifts were broken so we had to trek through the building site to use the filthy dirty service elevator with the dirty washing and building materials that were being moved around. This place simply should not be open at this time. I am In the process of claiming back a full refund....

"The pool and the grounds of the hotel are nice but that’s about it. The rooms are very outdated and the inside feels more like a cheap motel. The staff are not helpful and very difficult to communicate with. The location is basically in the middle of a construction site. You can definitely find a better place for the money. "

"No working : gym, restaurant, swimming pool very dirty. Hotel is partially close and it doesn't work complete. It's a disaster and Expedia did not advised me about this terrible condition."

Relaxing stay highly recommend

"Truly relaxing stay at Pearl Beach. This is a great hotel and we sprang for an ocean view villa. The standard rooms are nice but the ocean view is bigger and nicer. Hotel has its own beach and the staff are lovely. Just remember to put the clean room sign out daily. You'll need to do this to at least get more drinkable water and toiletries. Food was good especially the asian options. We did a trek with Chiwon around the island which was good fun and great to get some exercise. Room cleanliness was great, but would suggest they wash the outside of the ocean view windows more frequently. Its a minor quibble really. "
