"Lovely hotel. Chocolate and drinks in the room and very comfortable bed. Only downside was the reception team needing a physical card instead of using Apple Pay - I never carry my card and the email didn’t say Apple Pay was not accepted."

"Reception staff on arrival and departure were very friendly and helpful. Room upgraded without asking which was a great bonus. And parking is cheaper at NCP St James. Literally across the road, a tenner on the NCP app. Would definitely stay again as very central around the corner from Markdt Square"

"The cleanliness and facilties of the hotel were of a good standard and the staff were friendlly abd helpful. Unfortunately our check in experience was very disappointing. We had to return to Reception three times as our card key would not open our room door. When we were eventually able to access the room we found it was already being used by another guest. We then had to return to Reception for a fourth time to be allocared another room. The service in the restaurant was very slow with a wait...

"Comfortable beds clean property, good facilities all round. Enjoyed using the pool and jacuzzi . The only downside was rooms were very warm,had a fan in the room which didn’t really do much in terms of cooling the room. The room was facing the main road which made it noisy when opening the windows."

Staff were friendly and helpful and we had no issues during our stay, other than minor things like TV not working properly or the shower not draining very well..."

"The staff were so helpful and kind and let us book in early because we were going to Download Festival. Each evening they would leave cleaning stuff out for us to us before going into the hotel covered in mud. Friendly and kind would use them again any time. "

"Hi, We had a great stay. However the signs in the carpark made it very clear that the parking had to be paid for before entering the hotel. We did this. When we got to reception however we were told the car park was free for guests staying at the hotel. Can your signs please be altered to say this as we paid £10 parking unnecessarily."
