"A little bit of frustration as it could be a gem, but the attention to details in the room make it average. Service was excellent, food was superb and properly priced, rooms were big and well designed, the flaw lies in the attention to details. Mosquito marks on the walls, cracks not plastered, gaps in doors that allowed bugs and animals (geckos and frogs) to come inside, mosquito net in shower room with wide gaps…I would be expecting this not to happen in a 4 star hotel"

"Hotel in the jungle with a rustic charm. Room was good with a comfortable bed. Lots of ants in the room initially but I suppose being in the jungle that’s to be expected! Restaurant food was plentiful and delicious. We stayed three nights and we didn’t get bored as there was a good varied choice -buffet or the a la cart menu-. "Great hotel, lovely room and good food. This was the best value for money hotel we stayed at of the 10 we used in Sri Lanka. It was quiet, looked after and welcoming. "Siminti was an absolutely amazing host! She was there for all our needs. We got a massage and she had a recommendation. Our safari was axong per her recommendation. She took care of our 3 year old son- always having water for him, making him great food, and being the sweetest person. The room was clean and just what we needed. If I were to return to Sigiriya, I'd stay here again. Walking distance to Sigiriya Rock and about 200 rupees by tuk tuk. "
