"Have stayed in this hotel many times and have always rated it excellent. However this time I ended up in an attic that was obviously part of the roof, due to the roof support beams in the room. There was a very steep and unmarked step to get into the room and from the bathroom into the room. The room was very tiny and had a very low sloping ceiling (the roof) , that was very dangerous for hitting your head when walking around the room and getting out of bed. It certainly wasn't a superior room...

"The hotel is in a 16th century 4 story building, incredibly charming inside, made to preserve the medieval look but with all of the modern amenities. We stayed on the third floor in room 302. The room had exposed roof beams throughout, including the bathroom. The two things we didn’t like were the roof beams right above the bathtub/shower. "I would say our stay was comfortable and easy. The bed was a little harder than I would have liked but it was fine. The room was clean and the breakfast had a good amount of choices. The AC worked decently as well and the city center was only a short walk (it’s a small town). Overall I would say we would stay here again if we were passing through again. "

"We stayed here for a wedding at The State Chateau of Hluboka. The room was spacious, breakfast was good (basic), and the grounds were lovely to walk around. The big negative we experienced was when ordering a taxi at reception to the train station, they had said they ordered a taxi and an older lady turned up in her personal car which was not a metered taxi. We got ripped off and had to dip into the cash reserves as didn’t have the energy or time to argue, it was very disappointing the hotel...
