"Overnight stop on our way to the Eurotunnel. Convenient location with good safe parking. I have stayed at this hotel many times and will continue to do so. Only downside is the limited food options when I arrive after 9pm. "

"The hotel is very suitable for anyone travelling from the UK by road to southern France or the Alps. The drive from Calais to Chalons-en-Champagne is less than 3 hours. The town is not too far from the motorway south. There is very well priced fuel available. The hotel is located in a very pleasant square. "Air conditioning was not working. Hotel hastily explained that due to conservation of power sometimes the motor would just not turn on. Then the hotel shd be priced as if it did not have A/C"

"This place is a perfect base to explore Reims . We parked in the car park upstairs , outside for free ( there is underground parking on site too ) The room was nice , overlooking the river .. from the hotel it’s walkable to the Cathedral quarter ( 10/12mins stroll ) and there’s a wealth of restaurant choices and bars there . This seemed a very walkable and safe city and the Mercure is a nice easy , cost effective hotel to use as a base for a visit . "

"This was one of the best places to stay at. I've been coming to Epernay for years as my mothers family is from the area and never thought I would stay on the Ave de Champagne! Without a doubt I will come back. Being able to go to the farmers market on Saturday and buy so many wonderful fresh foods to cook and enjoy in a home setting was nice. We had already been in France for 2 1/2 weeks and as much as I love to eat out I enjoyed having the option to cook. The owner met us at the apartment to go...
