"The hotel was great and comfortable. The issue with it being part of a casino is people going in and out of rooms in the middle of the night. As with almost every hotel, the doors bang when that happens and not so good for light sleepers. Thankfully, it only happened twice. Otherwise, it was a lovely stay with good price. I loved the fact that the door stays open when entering for ease and then closes itself after a short time."

"It was a truly delightful experience to stay in downtown Detroit at The Roost. The apartment-like rooms are well-equipped with everything one might need for a comfortable stay, including a dishwasher, washer and dryer, refrigerator, and modern televisions with direct TV. It is evident that a lot of thought and effort went into the renovation of this place. I will certainly bring my family back here every time we visit Detroit."

"The room was very spacious and clean. You could smell that all the linen was fresh and clean. They have great amenities here as well. The downside of this hotel is that you have to park across the street and there were no luggage carts available. Had I been traveling with only my daughter, I would have had to make multiple trips taking her inside and out across a busy street. That is a big safety issue. The biggest issue I had was that I had to keep stopping multiple times to answer the phone...

"Beautiful old mansion that had old time charm but a clean more modern feel. Staff were friendlier in person than on the phone. Towels were thin and shower was luke warm. Our room was very cold with the air conditioning but she couldn’t make it warmer because it would affect the temperature in a nearby room that complained it was too hot. However she had a space heater which we used on a hot day in June!. 5-10 minute walk to Comerica Park. Probably the same distance to the LCA. We enjoyed...

"It was close to everything. We went to Ford Field, which was only a 5-10 minute walk. Theres plenty of restaurants close by to chose from. Or, right next door theres a convenient store, which has all kinds of things to chose from"
