"This was our 3rd visit to Torfhaus Resort Hotel. It is our favorite. The location in the Harz Mountains is serene, but also full of possibilities for hiking, biking, and quick travel to picturesque towns. The houses/cabins at the resort are maintained in excellent condition. There is plenty of room for a family. We enjoy sitting on the deck with a meal and looking at the beautiful views of the forest. "We stayed here with our daughters family also to attend a wedding near by. Our experience was wonderful. The rooms are very nice and spacious, the dining experience superb. The rooms do not have air conditioning and we need it cool to sleep well but the open windows and fan were enough to be comfortable. "
