"There was no tissue paper. There was absolutely counted 1 teabag 1 coffee, one sugar 1 sweetener per head in room ! Come on , it is MARRIOTT and not a cheap 2star property. Be a bit more generous. It just costs few pence. Increase car park charges to 5-6 pounds to compensate it. It looks so cheap."

"Property is very grand and well maintained. There is some work going on in the grounds at the moment but that doesn't detract from the way it looks or is presented. Rooms in the paddock annex are nice but wifi was lacking which wasn't ideal as we were there for work purposes. Only other downside, is that the food choices are either high end or the bar menu which itself is limited. There needs to be more a mid-range restaurant option in my opinion. "The reception staff were great. Room was huge with 2 king size beds. Some of the furniture didn’t match, black table on one side of the room & wood everywhere else? The floor tiles in the bathroom were uneven with some grout missing and the bathroom door was sticking on the floor. We loved the idea that if you stayed 2 nights or more and did not request your room to be made up you received a £5 voucher to spend at the bar, brilliant idea. Bar area had some nice areas but quite dim in others....

Dining was available in the bar, tables were somewhat low. Food choice was good. Breakfast was a good choice. Staff were efficient. Hotel entrance was spoilt by the abundance of cigarette butts on the floor and plant containers. "
