"A good base to explore Spoleto."

"The story of this amazing home goes back to the 1500. Many beautiful details at the same time sad to see the grounds are not looked after. Even winter grounds could be magnificent with proper care. The building itself needs lots of maintenance and the rooms need some updating, but the experience was great. We met beautiful people and that was priceless. The breakfast staff was very friendly and helpful. The front desk staff were extremely nice. Happy New Year, Happy 2025"

"Loved the hotel. Most staff helpful. Called taxi for us. We asked for price upfront to exact address. Said 100 euros. Ended up being 150 euros. They gave us "discount" to 130. Hotel should guarantee price with local taxis or pay difference. "

"We found the hotel excellent; the staff were very helpful and quite friendly (some reviews said otherwise but we met several people working there and all were great) We got the smallest room; which was quite small for two people but very clean and with nice furniture comfortable bed and new bathroom, good AC etc. Breakfast was very nice and relaxing. "This is a beautiful property. The buildings and surrounding countryside. The outdoor amenities are terrific with a large pool and a jetted smaller pool (cold water). The staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was small and utilitarian and the bed was too hard for our liking. We are dinner and breakfast there and both meals were good (especially the cooked breakfast). The only downside of the property is that it is aging and in need of updating and maintenance. "This is an amazing hotel! You will not be sorry.. perfect location to visit the town of Spoleto. You can walk to just about anywhere from this hill top location near many of the historical sights and great shopping and restaurants. It's a real gem, built in the 60's with quality materials and cool vibe.. you won't be sorry! Just follow the signs to the top of the hill... spectacular views!"
