"This was a "blow the budget" trip for me and I was not disappointed. The hotel is built into caves and has fantastic views of the city and over the ford (you can walk over). My room (a cave in itself) was huge, a large jacuzzi in the centre (would likely accommodate 4 people) and a modern wet room at rear, decor and lighting was perfect. "This was a very modern hotel about 20 min walk from the old historic center. It was close to the Villa Longo train station which made it easier to arrive! Lovely breakfast in the morning!"

"The hotel is in a great location to explore Matera, and some of the rooms are in actual caves (it's a great experience for a night or two) without windows.
