"Amazing small cosy hotel, be sure to book mountain side views as it is one of the best views in the area! Breakfast was yummy with fresh eggs to order. Staff lovely and polite. Spa is included which is a great touch, the hot tub was amazing facing the mountains and one of the main reasons I booked this place, although it was cold a couple of nights, they had just had a new and larger hot tub installed so were some teething issues I think, but they made sure it was warm when asked in advance....

There are many nice walking trails in the city, and the train ride to Lake Brienz is very short and convenient. The area is in a beautiful valley with gorgeous waterfalls nearby, including Reichenbach falls. There are also many nice shops nearby as well as a crafting/farmers market in the mornings.
