"The location of the hotel works well for any evenings in the historical old city, or getting out of town during the day. The hotel has seen better days and has not seen any modernisation. The fixtures are not exactly vintage but everything that I touched worked fine. Comfort level was pretty average but it was not an expensive stay. We visited during covid so I don't think the pool was open. Breakfast could have offered a bit more choice ahead of early checkout."

The restaurant was could be fixed up to feel more appealing. Not a great selection for breakfast. Staff was friendly and anxious to help. It was a good stop after traveling many hours. "Hotel is beautiful surrounded by lovely gardens, the hotel receptionist was extremely helpful with everything we enquired about (female). Two things we were disappointed in was the breakfast, which could be improved dramatically - I know they cater mainly for Italian tourists, but we have been to many other Italian hotels and this one has the poorest breakfast of all of them, for example: no cheese on ham, only pastries, bread and yoghurts very poor, and very little fruit. "Air conditioning was switched off in the hotel resulting in extremely warm rooms. Lights switched off permanently on lower level where the spa is situated and common bathroom areas. "

"While the evening staff was very welcoming and the room large, everything else in this hotel was extremely disappointing. The shower was tiny and the water flow was hardly a drizzle. "Big room. Twin beds, which felt quite small and a very uncomfortable pillow (why hotels can’t provide guests with two decent pillows each is beyond me). Unable to find our booking on arrival, so ended up staying in what appeared to be a disabled room, with very high toilet. Basic breakfast provided, but the coffee was really good."
